Structural Characteristics

1. The seat of buried flat gate valve is inlaid with PTFE on the sealing surface, realizing dual sealing of PTFE-to-metal and metal-to-metal. The PTFE sealing surface can also wipe dirt off the gate slab. The seat adopts an O-ring seal and floating seat structure with preload force, enabling bidirectional sealing at both inlet and outlet of the flat gate valve. Its opening and closing torque is half that of conventional valves for smooth operation.

2. The buried flat gate valve features a full bore design. The gate slab keeps fitting tightly with the sealing surface whether fully open or fully closed, which shields the sealing surface from direct medium erosion and extends service life. When fully open, the straight smooth flow channel brings low flow resistance and little pressure drop, and allows pipeline pigging operation.

3. Grease fittings are installed on both valve body and bonnet of the flat gate valve. Sealing grease injected through the body fitting reaches the seat sealing surface for auxiliary sealing to improve sealing performance. Grease injected via the bonnet fitting flows through packing spacer to the space between stem and packing for auxiliary sealing and stable sealing performance.

4. The buried flat gate valve can release internal cavity high pressure automatically upon closing to secure operation safety.

5. The buried flat gate valve adopts fully enclosed structure with reliable protection to meet all-weather working conditions. A windowed design with packing gland can be customized per client requirements.
